By completing any of these activities, young people will gain insights into two of the UN’s Global Goals. They can then complete the Design Activity, designing their own prototype solution to a real world problem which they can enter to the do your :bit challenge.

If you would you like to collaborate with other schools to learn about the Goals and create solutions for do your :bit, the Connecting Classrooms programme from the British Council can make this happen. The British Council and the Institute of Imagination have also created a guide to support you in running a do your :bit hackathon.

Activities

‘Simple’ activities are suitable for all ages and teachers who have less experience with programming, but can be used in any setting, formal or informal. ‘Complex’ activities are aimed at older children and teachers who are more confident with programming; some of these require experience using electronics and design technology in conjunction with physical computing.
