In public transportation systems, it is common for passengers to wait for long periods at bus stops, especially in the hot summer, which makes the situation even more uncomfortable. Although traditional fans can provide some cooling effect, when there are no passengers around, the fans still operate, leading to unnecessary waste of electricity. This situation exacerbates energy consumption and burdens the environment. Therefore, we proposed the concept of an AI smart fan, using Micro:bit as the control center, connected to an AI camera to detect human traffic, and establishing an intelligent adjustment system, aiming to solve this problem. This smart fan can automatically adjust its operation based on the surrounding human traffic. When people are detected, the fan will automatically start; when there are many people, multiple fans will be turned on; and when there is no one, it will automatically turn off, avoiding electricity waste. Such a design not only enhances passenger comfort but also effectively reduces energy consumption, achieving sustainable use.
