Our inspiration

The inspiration for the ‘Plant and Connect’ project emerged from observing a common challenge faced by many schools: the difficulty of maintaining healthy and productive gardens while fostering sustainable practices in education. We realized that the micro:bit could go beyond programming exercises and become a tool for awareness and action. The project draws inspiration from global initiatives that combine innovation and sustainability, particularly those aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). From this perspective, ‘Plant and Connect’ offers an educational experience that blends care, creativity, and Science, demonstrating that technology, when used thoughtfully, can be a powerful ally in building a more balanced and sustainable future.
