Global goals
Our coding team designed and built a robotic arm powered by a micro:bit and coded it to open and close, allowing it to pick up small objects. We spent a great deal of time rebuilding the arm so that the claw would open and close and we had to problem solve to make the code work.
The inspiration behind the project was to explore how technology can be used to improve healthcare by creating accessible prosthetic solutions for people who need them. The next goal is to make the arm voice-activated, so that we can improve the lives of people who require prosthetics.
