Shoe Box Race Cars

Shoe Box Race Cars

This project utilized the skills learned using the Bboards and micro:Bits to now create working Race Cars out of shoe boxes. These were then coded to move based on another Bboard and micro:bit radio signaling to it to go.

Our project

Students created a race car using a shoe box. After the creation of their car and using a B. Board micro:bit and other materials, students coded and created the movement in order for their car to move. They then created the controller to signal the car to go forward and backwards in order to race other cars created by other teams.

Our inspiration

Seeing other moving projects using micro:Bits inspired this project and wanting to use the radio signal function to take the next steps teaching students the design process and new skills with this project.
