Everyone can learn to code with the BBC micro:bit using this set of six sound-based projects. They may be particularly valuable for students with visual impairments. These students may also benefit from MakeCode visual options, such as the high contrast theme, or screen reader support (launching summer 2026).
The projects come with all the blocks you need to create your program - there is no need to go to the toolbox for additional blocks, you just need to assemble the blocks provided in the workspace into the right order.
The projects range from using just two blocks for beginners, to more complex ones. Students can learn about inputs, outputs, selection, logic, variables, and randomisation, as well as have fun!
