Our project

The SafeLink Smart Industrial Safety Interlinked System is a multifunctional construction site safety management system that integrates Micro:bit with AI recognition, sensor control, and wireless communication. Its primary objective is to enhance personal, environmental, and material safety on-site. Beyond proactive detection and alerts, the system rapidly transmits anomaly data to management during emergencies, significantly shortening response times.By utilizing a streamlined sensor network and the concept of real-time interlinked defense, SafeLink achieves low-cost, high-efficiency smart safety management. It provides an innovative solution for building safe, intelligent, and sustainable construction environments.

Our inspiration

Project Motivation: The Vision Behind SafeLinkFrequent news reports of preventable construction site accidents and the loss of expensive materials sparked a critical question for us: Can technology become an invisible shield for frontline workers?

Through our research, we realized that traditional safety management relies heavily on manual inspections, which are often costly and prone to human error. This inspired us to develop SafeLink. Our goal was to apply what we’ve learned about Micro:bit, AI recognition, and sensor technology to create a "low-cost, high-sensitivity" early warning system.Our mission is simple: to harness the power of integrated hardware and software to ensure every worker returns home safely. We want to transform construction sites from high-risk environments into intelligent, safe workspaces where technology and safety go hand in hand.
