Our project

The project titled 'The Green' aims to address the global goal of health and wellbeing while also promoting the local area and its facilities.

This group used the micro:bit to code a step counter. They gathered data of how many steps were used when using different exercise machines on the green. They then used this code's data to convert their step count into calories. They researched peoples favourite snacks and drinks so they could create a project that reached out to their peers to show them that with a balance between exercise and the treats we love we can still be healthy.

This group created a prototype of the local green and some of the exercise equipment that they used the micro:bit code to explore. They created insightful posters that explain and show their research, work and coding carried out during the project.

Our inspiration

The aim of this project is to show people that balance is the heart of life.
This group researched the use of our local green and its amenities within our 5th and 6th classes.
