Young people combine creativity and technology in solutions to the Global Goals. The 'do your :bit' challenge is an international competition for 8-to-14-year-olds (extending to 15-year-olds in 2021). Now in its second year, entries were submitted in 2020 from over 50 countries.

‘Imaginations went wild’: engaging hard-to-reach children with the micro:bit. With the help of the British Council, teachers in the Western Balkans region are discovering a new way to reach disengaged students. A project aiming to equip 1 million young people with the skills they need to compete in the global labour market has shown that hard-to-reach children are often inspired by the micro:bit.

Where age is no barrier to being a Digital Maker. Children. Teachers. Parents. Older people. In Singapore, no one is excluded from digital education. The Digital Maker programme, launched in 2017 by the Infocomm Media Development Authority, uses micro:bit to encourage innovation, foster collaboration and empower everyone to create with technology.
