1. The promoter of this prize draw (the "Prize Draw") is the Micro:bit Educational Foundation, a company registered in England and Wales, with company number: 10370194, whose registered office is at 12 New Fetter Lane, London, EC4A 1JP, United Kingdom (the "Promoter"). The decision of the Promoter is final.
2. Entry to the Prize Draw is open to all residents of the following countries who are aged 18 or over, except employees of Micro:bit Educational Foundation and their immediate families and anyone else professionally connected with the Prize Draw:
   • Canada
   • Japan
   • Netherlands
   • Spain
   • United Kingdom
   • United States of America; and
   • Uruguay.
   • Residents must be adults (for example, parents, carers or teachers) responding to share their experiences by way of a survey (the "Survey") of young learners between the age of 8 and 18 with:
     • visual impairments, who use at least one of the following: screen reader, refreshable braille display or notetaker, zooming or on-screen magnifier, or colour or colour contrast adaptions; or
     • fine motor challenges for whom using a standard computer mouse or trackpad is difficult and who use at least one of the following: a keyboard only (no mouse, trackpad or touchscreen), an adapted keyboard, voice control, assistive switches or similar devices, eye gaze or head-tracking technology.
3. All eligible residents who have (i) submitted responses to the Survey within the Promotional Period; (ii) answered ‘yes’ to the Prize Draw entry question; and (iii) provided their full name and a valid email address, will be submitted in the Prize Draw and together shall be referred to as "Entrants" or each an "Entrant".
4. Entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and any other requirements set out in the material relating to this Prize Draw.
5. The Survey will start on Thursday 1st October 2026 and close on Monday 16th November 2026 (the "Promotional Period"). No submissions will be considered for the Prize Draw outside of the Promotional Period.
6. The Prize Draw is free to enter – no purchase is necessary.
7. The prizes are one of ten Amazon vouchers, each worth £50 GBP or equivalent in local currencies (Euro, USD, Uruguayan peso or Yen), based on the exchange rate at the time of payment (each a "Prize").
8. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize (or any part thereof) for a Prize equivalent to or of greater monetary amount if this is necessary for reasons beyond its control.
9. Entrants must follow all the instructions on the Survey form.
10. Multiple entries are permitted per Entrant so long as each Survey response relates to a different student. No Entrant can win more than one Prize.
11. The winners will be drawn at random on Wednesday 25th November 2026 (the "Draw Date"). Each entry to the Prize Draw will have a unique number. The full range of these numbers will be entered into an online random number generator which will select from these numbers at random. The first ten numbers it selects that each represent a different Entrant will be the ten winners (each a "Winner"). Records of the draw will be retained by the Promoter.
12. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
13. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault of any kind e.g., technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure unless this has been caused as a result of the Promoter’s own fault or negligence. Proof of delivery of the entry is not proof of receipt.
14. Contact details Entrants provide will only be used as agreed in the Survey and the Terms of this Prize Draw.
15. The Promoter will use reasonable endeavours to contact the Winners using the email address in the contact details supplied upon entry to the Prize Draw and who will be given details of how to claim their Prize within seven days of the Draw Date. If the winner does not respond within seven days of the first notification, the Winner forfeits their right to claim the Prize. The Promoter shall not be responsible if the Winner provides incorrect contact or delivery details.
16. The Promoter will make available the surname and country of the Winner to anyone who makes a request by email to info@microbit.org within 30 days after the closing date stated in section 3 of these Terms. If you object to your surname and country being published or made available, please contact the Promoter using the following contact details: info@microbit.org. In such circumstances, the Promoter may still provide the information and winning entry to any regulator or court on request.
17. If Entrants live in Canada, before being confirmed as a Winner, selected Entrants will be required to complete a time-limited, four-part mathematical skill-testing question, without assistance. If Entrants answer incorrectly or do not respond within the required time requested, they will be withdrawn from the Prize Draw.
18. In the event a Winner forfeits the Prize, the Promoter reserves the right to award the Prize to a reserve selected at the same time as the original.
19. The Prize will be issued by the Promoter and sent to the Winner within 7 days of the Winner responding to the notification that they have won. The Prize is personal, limited to Entrants and not transferable.
20. Personal data supplied during the course of this Prize Draw will only be processed as set out in the Privacy & cookies policy.
21. The Promoter reserves the right to alter, amend or foreclose the Prize Draw without prior notice.
22. The Promoter reserves the right at any time, in our absolute discretion, to:
    • Verify (which may include requesting additional documents that the Promoter, in its reasonable discretion, requires) the eligibility of any Entrant (including their age, place of residence); and
    • disqualify any Entrant found to be abusing or tampering with the operation of the giveaway or entering using fraudulent means, or who we believe to have acted in breach of these Terms.
23. There is no cash alternative available; the Prize is as stated and no alternatives are available.
24. Any applicable personal income taxes, duties, levies, or charges arising from participation in the Prize Draw or from receiving the Prize shall be the sole responsibility of the Winner, in accordance with applicable local laws and regulations. Winners are responsible for complying with any applicable reporting or payment obligations required under local tax laws. Where required by law, the Promoter reserves the right to withhold or report taxes to the relevant tax authorities.
25. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for:
    • death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
    • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; and
    • any matter in respect of which it would be unlawful for us to exclude or restrict our liability.
26. If we fail to comply with these Terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our negligence, but we are not responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it was an obvious consequence of our breach or if it was contemplated by you and us at the time that you agreed to these Terms.
27. Notwithstanding section 26, and save as set out in section 25 our maximum liability to you under these Terms in respect of this Prize Draw will be limited to the value of the Prize.
28. These Terms and this Prize Draw are governed by English law. As a consumer, you will benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you are resident. Nothing in these Terms, including this section, affects your rights as a consumer to rely on any mandatory provisions of local law. You may bring any dispute which may arise under these Terms, at your discretion, to the competent court of your country of habitual residence if this country of habitual residence is within the UK or is an EU Member State, which courts are (with the exclusion of any other court) competent to settle any of such a dispute. We shall bring any dispute which may arise under these Terms to the competent court of your country of habitual residence if this is within the UK or is an EU Member State.
