Getting started with the micro:bit for teachers
A beginners guide to using the micro:bit in the primary classroom. We'll cover everything you need to know from turning the micro:bit on to transferring student's code.
We'll answer your questions and show you where to find the resources you need to support your teaching.
If you are teaching primary computing and want to want to introduce physical computing for the first time, this is the session for you.

This 30 minute webinar will introduce UK teachers to the micro:bit and share our exciting campaign BBC micro:bit - the next gen.
We’ll point you towards free support and training and answer any questions you may have about using micro:bits in your classroom.

This 30 minute webinar will introduce Welsh-speaking teachers to the micro:bit and share our exciting campaign BBC micro:bit - the next gen.
We’ll explain what’s available for Welsh-speaking schools, point you towards free support and training and answer any questions you may have about using micro:bits in your classroom.

Student code-alongs 2023
Summer code-along
Join us for our UK schools summer code-along.
Lorna from the Micro:bit Education Foundation, will take your class through step-by-step instructions to make a fitness inspirer to encourage you and your learners to take a brain break, get the blood pumping and maybe even get outside and enjoy the lovely weather!
This live code-along is suitable for ages 8 and above.
You can join with or without micro:bits as we will be using the MakeCode editor which has a built in simulator.
What you need to take part:
Students will need a laptop/tablet with access to the MakeCode editor (please check your students can access this in advance).
A screen to show the code-along.
