Global goals

SDG 13 Climate Action

Our project

The project sought to encourage the learning of programming and sustainability, using micro:bit and recyclable materials for the construction of the structure.

It was developed with the purpose of stimulating the learning of programming and robotics with the micro:bit, promoting awareness of environmental issues by using recyclable materials and encouraging the development of practical and sustainable solutions to monitor the climate (temperature and humidity), contributing to the understanding of environmental factors.

Our inspiration

Monitoring temperature and humidity is key to understanding climate change, helping to develop strategies to mitigate the effects of global warming and its consequences. Meteorological equipment can provide crucial data to predict extreme weather phenomena, such as heat waves, droughts, or heavy rainfall, contributing to climate adaptation and management.

Temperature and humidity are crucial factors that affect the health of terrestrial ecosystems. Here are a few ways in which controlling these parameters can directly impact this goal.
