Tech for Teachers Award 2019 - We're winners again

We won the Tech for Teachers Award 2019

The Foundation is delighted to have received a Tech for Teachers Award, for a second year in a row. This time we got the full 5 stars showing how much we have achieved in 2018 with the help of the education community.

Launched last year, the awards celebrate the very best classroom innovations, judged in curriculum-linked categories – maths, English, science, modern foreign languages, STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths), computing and the arts.

In order to succeed, entries must be as effective as they are innovative, demonstrating real benefits for teaching and learning, value for money, and long-term potential.

The Computing category judge, Terry Freedom, said of micro:bit:

“Being able to create something that is an actual object with your own code makes this device not only exciting, but potentially a great introduction to other areas, such as the internet of things.”

Thank you to everyone who made this possible.

The award will be presented at BETT 2019.
