De BBC micro:bit is ontworpen om een open bord micro controller te zijn voor het gebruik door kinderen in de leeftijd van 11 tot 12. Het is een open ontwikkel systeem en we foutopsporing aangezet zodat gevorderde gebruikers ook met het apparaat kunnen werken.
