Announcing the micro:bit Give Shop

micro:bit inspired!

Today we've launched the micro:bit Give Shop – a way you can help change the lives of disadvantaged children around the world by helping them learn to code and invent with the micro:bit. The Foundation has a sponsorship scheme that donates and ships micro:bits, for free, to schools and youth programs all around the world. The organisations the Foundation supports are doing great work in their local communities. From poverty stricken rural communities in Sri Lanka, to disadvantaged teens in Canada, to the entire school population of Ascension Island. Our sponsorship program has already reached nearly ten thousand children; our target is to reach tens of thousands by the end of 2017 and you can help us. Each time you buy an item from the Give Shop the Foundation will send you one, and use your purchase to donate an equivalent item to a class or code club needing support.
